The photographer, Mitchell Doyle traveled to Cuba with a group of 75 musicians headed by Carlos Reyes, local civic leaders and members of the Greek Orthodox Church. He traveled with permission from the U.S. Treasury Department.
These photographs, of the several thousand images taken, highlight the jewel of Cuba, its people, while noting the living conditions and the area in which the Cuban people live. The Cuban people have nothing in the way of economic accomplishments but they exhibit a pride, separate and apart from material possessions, that is both refreshing and instructive to those of us who are so fortunate by comparison.
